Is everyone staying in the field outside the state park? Since this is my first time I don't know the camping setup, but I would like to join you guys if you don't mind so I am down for whatever. Are there any good spots for a hammock or is it mainly tent camping spots? I am going to plan on going down early Friday so I can visit Appomattox River Co. and then get some pre-fishing in. It sounds like we will have quite a few members there I am stoked I have heard this is one of the best tournaments around.

The free camping is just a field right outside the state park. I don't remember any trees to put up a hammock but not sure. I have a buddy from TN coming to fish it, and I think he is going up Thursday to fish and probably camping in the field also. I will probably set up beside him whenever I get up there. You all are welcome to set up with us in a group if you want.

I've never been there before so not sure what to expect. We will be heading down early Friday and staying in the free camping area... Looking forward to hanging out with everyone... Ryan you might have to tie your hammock between a couple of trucks if there's no trees,

Can we camp in the field Thursday night? If so I may head up there after work so I can get an early start Friday.

I have a tent I just haven't used it in years since I discovered hammock camping. I have always wanted to build a turtle dog stand for my hammock so maybe this will be the motivation to get it done. Do you guys camp Saturday night too or head home after the event?

Just wondering if your allowed to have a fire at our camp site if your in the field. Its not camping if you cant have a fire... I can bring plenty of bricks to hold the fire back but don't want to haul them if we cant burn
