Congrats on the new yak!!! It was asking a lot to wait for a demo day. You mentioned Gatewood in your initial post, I think that would be a great first float. How far are you from McCoy? If you are anxious to try some flowing water you can try below the falls or hit up Whitethorne or my personal favorite Belspring. I will post up the next time I'm heading out and maybe we can hookup.
I assume you have seen the posts on the "get together" the first week in April. Would be a good chance to meet some of the others on the site.

Yea i paddled the coosa and the cuda and decided on the cuda. Im about 15 minutes from mccoy. Havent fished down there yet though. I might actually be able to make it in april ill know for sure tomorrow.

Congrats on the new boat, I have an Aqua Bound Manta Ray hybrid paddle and really like it, Haven't really used many others to compare it to, but I did break one and they sent me a replacement in the mail the next day no questions asked.

I hate to do it but my 2014 cuda 12 and adventure tech fish stick for 1550. When i have time to go fish noone else seems to have. Visicarbon pole on the way and a fly rod holder.
