bigd7400… welcome to the forum. i live here in Martinsville and fish philpott lake regularly for walleye as well as Smith mt lake for striper. Hit me up sometime and maybe we can fish together. Love to! I've actually been wanting to try for some walleye on philpott just not sure where to start or how to go about it. Thinking of going Thursday as a matter of fact! Hit me up I'm off weird days wed Thurs and Sunday. I work as a fireman so I know about weird schedules. Philpott is tough. Fish are all over.

I fish SML more than just about anywhere due to convenience and all out of a yak. Its not bad til summer and once summer hits as crazy as it sounds I fish it at night. Usually stay between hardy bridge and Moormans marina in coves and such. Once I get my new yak all setup that's all I'm looking to use. In fact my bass boat is up for sale. I've never fished that Dar up the lake in the summer time. Great fall striper fishing up that way. You ever go out and want someone to tag along let me know. Definitely man
