I sure hope to. Probably heading out at least Sat. morning. I need to talk to my neighbor and make sure we're not doing hay this weekend. That will be the deciding factor. I would love to hit the James. The only float I know is about 3 miles I think. I think it starts under rt. 81 and ends up in Buckanon.

I know of several floats on the james. Just depends on how long of a float and how far you want to drive. Not sure what the weather holds Sunday but I know im tied up all of saturday. Didn't know if anyone out there was goigoing to anything Sunday.

I should be able to do a float sometime this weekend, hope to get out at least a couple days. I just got back from the beach, so it all depends on getting my work caught up at work and around the house. Dwneastheel is moving up here from Alabama this week and wants to get out and fish some of the local water and try out my coosa. So hopefully I can get some time to do at least that, but would like to float somewhere.

I'm camping in Eggleston Saturday night and hope to do some fishing both Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

Phil, where ya fishing Saturday? I was thinking about floating a section from Bissett Park to 114 bridge or Claytor Dam to Bissett Park. Haven't done either one of those in years. Not sure how the fishing is though.
I would like to float somewhere even if it is white thorn down to big falls also.

The usual spot Jeff. I would really like to float the James too. I don't want to drive too far though. I have been really busy at work and we have a lame horse to deal with so I haven't been online lately. Come home from work, help the wife with horses, eat and go to bed. I NEED a float!!!

We caught around 40 small mouth Saturday between 6 of us. 4 over 15". Using a Texas rigged crawfish and a weightless swimming fluke. Most of the fish were just before the rapids and just after. Good luck.

Tyler, Are you still floating Whitethorn to big falls tomorrow? If you are going in the morning, and don't mind if downeastheel and I tag along, please send me a message, call or text 434 664 8002.
If anyone else is interested in doing a float tomorrow, let me know. I am taking downeastheel out in the morning and was hoping to do a float but we will need another for a shuttle.
