I have wanted to fish this for a couple years now. They say the smallmouth fishing is off the hook here. They say 100 fish days are very common there, [even Phil might catch fish here ]. Any you guys interested in going for a couple days next spring. It looks like its not a bad drive from Va or Wva. Its not a real big flow but looks great. Think its 18 miles or so perfect for about two days fishing. Any interest?

Its is a ways off but im going to research it. I get 6 weeks vacation a year so im real flexable in the spring. Plus I have tried to get some of the guys here in Wv to go but cant get enough interest. I figured I would throw it out and see if anybody was interested.

I'm already sitting here watching videos from Elkhorn Creek. Looks promising.

I'm already sitting here watching videos from Elkhorn Creek. Looks promising. It looks like a cool place to fish. I love fishing small flows like that. We have the bluestone river here in Wv, its like a big creek but I love to fish it. It doesn't have the depth as elkhorn so its hard to float it, some days you drag the kayak more than you fish. But there is some big smallmouth in there.

I've been wanting somebody to show me the ropes on the Bluestone for a while now. I have a bunch of buddies that wade fish it but nobody that kayaks. There's some big holes a few minutes from I77 at exit 14 that I'm thinking about trying to fish this winter for muskies. Every time I ride by them heading to go 4-wheeling I think to myself I should have gone fishing instead.

I work with a guy from Lashmeet and we just always park at his place and ride the trails and gas well roads that are on the pocahontas land corp. properties. We just don't ride during hunting season since a lot of people use the trails up there to get to and from stands. We can ride upwards of 100 miles without ever getting on a pay to ride trail.

Yea there are a lot of outlaw trails in Wv. I can start at my house and ride to winter place ski resort on flat top. What you riding?

We've ended up in flat top a few times. That trip down 19 back to camp creek is always fun LOL. I ride a red 550 arctic cat 2-seater.
