Hello Everyone! I'm Scott and I live in Roanoke. I do not own a kayak YET, but have started saving up for one. Right now I have an old canoe that I use on the Upper James & New River. Looking forward to learning from the group.

Welcome aboard from west by god I was reading some old posts and saw you fished Dan Hale. I was born in Bluefield and lived in Bluewell until I was ten, grew up in Bland after that. I've fished Dan Hale growing up, has been quite awhile since I've been there though.

Welcome to the group, I'm from Rocky Gap and grew up fishing Dan Hale as well. From what I've been told it doesn't look like we'll ever get to fish it again. The lease was sold out from under the Lusks over the winter to a water authority. I think the same one that owns the big bass lake behind the old Tinder White truck company in Bluefield.

I hate to hear that. The water authority here in Roanoke Valley lets us fish one of the body of waters, lots of regulations though.
