Just getting into Kayaking because of loss of bank fishing spots and no wading access. But I've jumped in maybe a little too hard ordered a Jackson Big Tuna for me and my 12 year old boy and bought a $100 jon boat trailer to convert to the ultimate Kayak trailer and by the time I'm done it will have new everything besides the frame. I live in Lebanon,VA so will be hitting up hidden valley, laurel bed , clinch river and rural retreat near mom's. When I get more experience would like to hit boone and south holston.

Welcome to the site! I am new here too, and live just down the road in Nickelsville. We fish the same waters as you do, hope to see you around soon! We have had our kayaks about a year and really like fishing out of them, before that we had a canoe that was fun too, but with a 13 and 16 yr old kids it was getting crowded!LOL!

Yeah I gave my brother my canoe after 2 trips with ex wife and kid in it not a good time, but looking back may have not gotten use to it enough before hitting river.
