It is not very often the New gets levels like this. Most of the down fall structure we a have been getting used to fishing will likely change. Some will keep put and new ones will form. It is always fun to get out and see the differences after the water comes back down. nwis.waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/peak/?site_no=03171000This graph shows the New has only been to about this level 4 times in the last 12 years!

The boat ramp at Pembroke was completely submerged yesterday, and the road at Ripplemead was closed. It will be interesting to see what the down structures look like after the flooding. Here's some pictures from Pembroke on Thursday... And here's some pictures from Eggleston on Friday... This is about 100 ft before the put in at Eggleston!

They say the fish hit on rising water! What ya think Scott? Should we head out? Hmmm....I think I'll pass! I went down to Pembroke boat ramp after work, and to say it's a little worse than my last pictures is just an understatement. The roof of the little kiosk in the parking lot is just barely visible. And then I drove over to Eggleston. This is the road immediately after crossing the RR. And the view looking back at the bridge. And a last shot from the other side looking back at The Palisades.

Wow thats alot of water. You know where all that water is going down river to me. The bluestone dam is running 16 gates they are dumping water like crazy. The problem is the greenbrier is still coming up. Its right at flood stage now and not going to crest till late tommorow evening. The road at alderson along the brier is allready shut down. The last big flood was in 92, the water was right at the top of the road getting ready to flood the kroger parking lot. We went across the lot on break to check it out and there were roof tops, campers and propane tanks floating down the river a scary site.

I went driving around after work too Scott, saw the road at Eggleston, that was crazy. Also drove down Goodwins Ferry Rd until the big bend at which water was over that too. It will be interesting to what it looks like when it drops back down.

This was scary for me because I live on the new. At peak cfs was just over 90,000 and instantaneous level was 21.10. It got up under my house but not in.
