Wish I could go, supposed to work that day. I did get to listen to Britt from New River Outdoor Co give a very informative talk at the Fly Fishing Show in Winston Salem though.

I was mad I missed this. Brad Bohen from Musky Country Outfitters, who is a legend in the musky fly fishing business, was there. How was it?

By the way, if either of you are looking for a musky fly fishing partner, I'm on the New frequently blasting my arm with my 10 weight...

Fishinhokie, sounds good, man. I might be going tomorrow since my weekend is booked moving to a new place in CBurg. If not tomorrow, I'll definitely be going a lot next week.
By the way, are you a current or former student at tech? Just curious based on your name.

I graduated in 2011. Are you fishing from a yak when fly fishing for musky?

I am. It's a little difficult casting large streamers with a 10 wt from a sitting down position, but it's manageable. I find that with a kayak I can be a little stealthier and don't require longer casts - just my observation. I'm going out in a couple hours to fish the mouth of the Little River (where it flows into the New right below Claytor Dam) and might even fish the Little River up to the first bend. Interested in going?

Didn't see a thing and I've been busy with my move to get back out on the water.
