I floated from Eggleston to Ripplemead yesterday(Wednesday),and conditions were pretty good. I caught over 20 smallmouths(one nice 17"er) and fish were holding the rocky banks more than anything else, but a few were caught off the bottom of some deeper pools as well. I had a lot of luck with a wacky rigged black Senko. River was flowing pretty swift and rising.
Unfortunately,it's been raining pretty much all day today. If I get a chance to run down to the river, I'll give you an update. Scott

Today would have probably been a good day if you could have stood being out in the pouring rain. The water was rising. The gauge at Radford does not look good now. The river at Radford is up, mud on one side pretty good color on the other. I am going to get out Sunday some where and at least rock hop and bank fish, If i can't get out in the kayak.
