It's official. I have moved to Cortez, Colorado! Just wanted to thank all of you guys for letting me be part of the forum. Anyone who ever finds there way down here should contact me for sure. There is supposed to be some superb fishing down here, largemouth, smallmouth, walleye, and some Gold Medal Trout fishing! I'm certainly going to miss the New river... Scott

Congrats Scott, hope you enjoy your move and new job. Hate I did not get to fish with you this year before you left. Keep us posted on the fishing up there.

Dam Scott, you are certainly going to be missed here. I don't know if I'll ever get to Colorado but will surely look you up if I do. Many times you 've outfished me here and would probably do it out there too. I am gonna miss breaking your stones all the time. Gonna have to find someone else to crack on here on the site. Wishing you all the luck possible with your new job. Hope to see you when you come back for the final move. Perhaps we can all get together for one last float. Best of luck to you...Phil

Thanks for all the blessings! I caught my first Colorado fish the other day wading in the West Fork of the Dolores River. It was only a 13" Rainbow, but at least I got the skunk off. I might brave the Holiday boaters this weekend and take the kayak out to McPhee Reservoir. It's post spawn, and supposedly the bass(smallies and largemouths here)are really hard to catch right now...I guess I'll just have to find out. They've been pulling trout out of the lake pretty regular as well. Nothing wrong with bringing a few trout home for dinner, eh? Definitely missing my New River, though, especially after seeing the pics you guys have been posting, but you can't have your cake, and eat it too. The job is going great. I rented a big house with 35 acres, adjoining BLM land, and that land has the most awesome single-track mountain biking trail system anywhere.
HAPPY 4th of JULY! Scott Small

Happy 4th Scott. Glad to hear everything is falling into place for you. Maybe you will catch some biggies you can enter on Kayak Wars.
