Hello everybody, I have just joined this group and I am relatively new to kayak fishing. I currently have my own which I just bought this summer and I use it as often as I can find a buddy to go with. However, my dad does not have one and I am always looking for places for us to go fish. I would appreciate any help you can give on recommending some places to bank fish

we fish on land we own on the WV/Va line near Rich Creek along the new river so I would be open to any spots you might know in that general area of the New River Valley as well

I see a lot of people fishing from the bank and wading at Parrott, also see them in Radford above the boat landing where the little river and new river meet. There is also a park in radford that is right on the river where you can wade and fish or fish from the bank. There is also a park at the end of Ripplemead rd? in pearisburg, not sure how accessable the bank is, but at the far end of the park there is a large creek that enters the new, might also be a good place.

We are doing a group float Saturday on the New if you are interested? With being in that area there are some good places on the James that you can put in and paddle up river and fish back. There's also a couple of places you can wade fish.

Jeff, went and fished with Dad today at the park in Pearisburg off of Ripplemead Rd. Caught about 12 smallmouth, didn't get to fish the entire area but we really liked the spot. Thanks a lot for the help!
