Literally! I got the musky bug over a year ago. I've been totally obsessed since then. Bought a 10wt, all the stuff to tie the flies, still casting! 2,127 more to go until another one eats! Muskies like pink....this one is articulated with a 7/0 predator hook in the front and a wire shank in back. Had a 35" or so musky 6" off the back of this fly last Friday(casting 10wt out of a kayak is FUN!). For some reason I can't get them to eat this fly. I think I am going to stop taking the buck-tail all the way forward, the head lays it down too much. I think if I stop it at the back of the head and let it stand up it will push more water.

Thats a nice looking fly. I don't fly fish any more but also maybe try black and orange? I'm far from an expert on musky fishing but every one I talk to who does musky fish says black and orange is there top colors.

I've been building the fleet of flies. I've tried to make flies that have similar colors to the standby baitcast baits. I'll have to add black/orange mix. Thanks for the tip.

This is as close to orange/black as I could get with the materials I have on hand. Also the first time trying a spun deer hair head. Finished about 16" long on a 10/0 Gamakatsu.
