Hey all - great forum and glad I found it. I typically follow the SML forum (same user name) but not many there flyfish, and I like to fish other waters like carvins, the rivers, and any fishy looking mud puddle. I primarily fish on my flats boat, but have a canoe and try to get out when I can arrange a trip with someone else who can do the ferrying thing that rivers require. Anywho, I will be lurking - thanks for all the reports and updates, I live vicariously through them when work and family keep me off the water.
Mytoyz, good to see you over here too.

Welcome to the forum Greenmonster. Now we will have to get you hooked on kayaks. I have a jon boat, two kayaks and just sold my canoe as it just sat after I bought my first yak. Nothing like them! Once in a yak never go back! LOL

Welcome to forum greenmonster. I know a couple of guys who fly fish out of yaks, its easily done in the right yak. I tend be on this forum more than the SML since there's a limited number of folks on there that kayak. There are some on this board that have more then just yaks. Like Phil, I have a boat, a ranger bass boat, had 2 kayaks but sold one, and used to have a canoe until I sold it when I bought my first yak.

Welcome! Fellow fly fisher!! It's good to know there is someone else out there getting tendinitis in their elbow with me! I throw everything from a size 26 to 10/0 to anything that will bite out of kayaks up to jet boats. Maybe I'll see you on the river one day when you get some time away from work and family on the same day that I can get away from work and family! Tightlines! Attachments:

Thanks all. I actually had a couple kayaks - wilderness systems tarpon 12s. Got tired of marinating my backside in a seat full of water and traded them for a canoe that I could take my kids out in. Definitely like yaks better, and have been eying the jackson kayaks. Met a guy at sml who was striper fishing from his with a go pro and was intrigued by his set up. Will probably change over again when the boys are old enough to paddle their own.
Doss photo, here is to flyfishermans elbow!
