I got the musky bug again for some reason, and my goal is to catch one on a lure that I made myself. Tonight I have been working on a drying wheel to spin the lures while the epoxy dries. I will post some pictures when I get it finished. anyone out there making any lures. I am planning on making musky lures, balsa crankbaits and some spinnerbaits and jigs this winter. Would also like to get started back in pouring some plastics, but not sure I will get to it this winter.

I'm learning how to tie hair jigs and have poured a few soft plastics. Spinnerbaits might be next but I doubt my hands are steady enough to be carving balsa into anything that would resemble a bait. Maybe we can trade some hand poured plastics for musky plugs and BTW, I work with an older guy that has been making his own fly rods for years and he said the best turning wheel he's ever had was one he made with a microwave turntable motor and on a dimmer switch.
