OK so I'm new to this group and iv never fished from a kayak before but would love to try it if there's any gatherings plans I'd like to come see what's its all about thanks

Welcome to the site! We are planning a big camping trip kick off to the year around May, There are a lot of us that have an extra kayak that would be glad to let you try out. We will probably have some group floats before then.

LOL No, seriously, glad to have another addict floating on the river... And yes we better have some group floats before the Big Kick Off Gathering or I will go crazy. the little bit I'm getting out now is just not cutting it, I need another fix

Thanks for the reply I'll keep an eye on here for the next float and I'll definitely be there for the gathering and for an addiction iv been an addict to fishing since I was 5 years old lol so iv already got the bug

Welcome to the site Canyon. Don't be shy about questions and if you see something you'd like to join up in sound off. Like Wvfisherman said some of us have two yaks. It is best to try several out before you buy one.

Thanks guys and that's what I was thinking try out a few before I buy one but I was thinking about the ascend I don't know much about it but it look comfortable and easy to fish from also what are the bass and musky hitting around here iv been going to hidden valley lake and can't get them to hit anything I throw what's the secret.

Welcom to the site. The secret is that Hidden Valley sucks!!! LOL. It's always been really hit and miss for me up there and after October I've never caught anything. I don't know what the bass are hitting since I haven't caught one since the first or November but the muskies are hitting about anything. Swim baits, spinners, jerkbaits. Whatever makes a lot of flash or pushes a lot of water.
