Has anyone on the site fished from a Hobie Mirage Revo 13? Going to look at a used model tomorrow, high dollar although the pedal propulsion system looks to be interesting. Will fish on the New, James and maybe Gatewood Reservoir in Pulaski. Just wondering is 13'6" might be too long for river fishing. Eyeballing the ascend FS128T from BassPro also. Any thoughts or advice from others with river experience would be appreciated, Thanks.

I tested one a couple year's ago, it is very narrow it feels very cramped to me. I bought a Hobie Outback, lots of room.

Never been in one, but I fish out of a ride 135, 13 and half feet long. Haven't had any problems with the length.

I would be less worried about the length and more worried about damaging the fins in shallow water. I've pedaled one as a safety boater for the ARC demo day complete with outriggers, and it was quick! Not sure how stable it is without the outriggers, but it felt too cramped to really fish out of for me.

Thanks for the input. I was concerned about the fins and also the width, seems that most angler kayaks are designed wider. I will keep looking, I do like the Tarpon 100 and also the Ascend FS128T from basspro. Anyone have experience with the Ascend Kayaks? They seem to have a lot of nice features for the price.
