Can anyone tell me what the marks are on this muskie? Someone told me they are bite marks from another muskie?

Not sure, but if you are on Facebook look up John Copeland. He is the biologist in the area.

I have never seen marks like that, but you do see a lot of fish with large patches of skin missing after the spawn so I bet it is related. It would be cool to see what the biologist has to say about it.

Jason Hallacher is the another guy to ask. Did the fish otherwise seem healthy? Lethargic, a lot of bleeding from the gills or fins, or problems swimming? Probably a few questions they will ask. I will share it with a few guys I know and see what they say. It is so far from their spawning season that I wouldn't think that would be the issue.

It seemed normal to me. It wasn't bleeding and it fought very hard. The spots just looked like some type of sores to me.
