A few weeks ago a warden checked me and was saying the same.. Hopefully its not a trend and finally starts opening up some.

Bassslayer contacted me yesterday at work and is wanting to float Eggleston to Penbroke Sunday. He has never floated that stretch of water so I think it's a plan. Anybody floated through that stretch of water lately. I know it's alot of slow water so I don't know if we will have much luck.

I like making that float, but when the wind is up and out of the North and northwest it can be brutal at times... More paddling than fishing. Winds on Sunday WNW 14-21 could make for a rough outing... just saying, I don't think I would do that one Sunday

I was just outside with the dogs. The wind is brutal. I'm not gonna do any fishing today. I hate fighting the wind. Just not worth it.

Well, Bassslayer and myself changed our game plan this morning and floated Big Falls to Eggleston. The wind was frigging brutal at times. Started out slow but we finally started catching a few fish in the swift water in the eddies and along grass beds. Caught the majority of fish today on Chartreuse glitter grub. I did catch a few on small tubes, biggest being 13 inches. Probably caught 30 bass today. Bassslayer caught several also. Glad we didn't float Eggleston to Penbroke, we probably wouldn't have got off the water till 9pm.
