7-11 Eggleston to Pembroke welcome float

Enjoyed floating with everyone today.  Didn't get to personally meet everyone but I'm sure we will meet again on the river.  Had a good day catching around 25 - 30 fish.  Would of liked to have got a picture of the Muskie I hooked but I seem to have a love/hate relationship with the New River Muskie.  I have caught 3 to date and have yet to get one in the boat, today was definitely the closest I have come yet.  Pictured below is the biggest smallmouth I caught today.  Looking forward to fishing the Tournament next week with some of you guys.

Nice smallie Wayne. I think you caught half of those 25 to 30 during lunch. LOL I know what you mean about not getting to personally meeting everyone and I feel badly about that. It seems we meet up and launch and then everyone heads their separate ways. It is amazing how far we ge spread out while fishing. I have no doubt we are more than a mile apart after fishing awhile.

Really nice meeting you guys....I had a good numbers day with 19 fish boated..my largest was a 14" smallie. Looking forward to doing it again!

Definitely nice getting to float with you guys! Its hard to stay together on that moving water but still a great time being out there with a group. Never did hook into anything nice but plenty of 12-13" fish and beautiful scenery. See yall next weekend!

It was great meeting a few more members. Had a great day on the river, yeah it's hard for 12 yakers to stay together while fishing the flow. I guess that's what separated us to keep from fishing on top of one another but all in all I think everyone had a good time... Man I think it's going to be tough fishing the tourney... I enjoyed meeting everybody it was great just be on the water I believe I caught 10 or 15 . I had to give Phill a lure so he could catch some more fish .lol.

Yep Bassslayer, With all that was going on I neglected to thank you for the lure. I had a load of hits and misses on it and also landed quite a few. I lost one of the tails early on but it still worked great. Would you please PM me all the compoenents that made up the lure. I will have to go to Sportsmans Wearhouse and get some. I think I remember you saying that's where you got Them. Shhhh don't tell the others. It will be our secret lure. LOL

Phil thanks for the invite. Had a great time meeting most of the folk. Caught 20 fish but most were small. 13" prob best fish. And thanks also rebel for the ride back up to eggleston. I have a photo of cody with a smallie smile but cant get it to post yet. Musta been pre turt cuz his shirt looks dry. Best of luck to all y'all this weekend in the backcountry tourney. Here are some photos of the group on Saturday. I posted the fish I caught on the online tournament submissions well the biggest two of them anyways. Had a great time that has to be one of the most scenic places I have ever visited. Thanks for organizing the float Phil.
