I've been doing a little bit of research on cold water drysuits, wondering what y'all are wearing to stay dry in case of turtleing. I found a drysuits in the $400 range but the ones i like are Gore-Tex and they have life time warranty's are $900 to $1000+. Kokatat has a sale on now and have the Meridian suit for a little over $850... That's a pretty good chunk for a poor man but after all the research it's hard to drop 5 or 6 hundred for a bottom line drysuit that might not keep you dry. I got 400 put up, I may have to keep saving and get what I want next year its going to be warm before I can buy one this year www.backcountry.com/kokatat-gore-tex-meridian-dry-suit-mens?rr=tO'Neil has a drysuit called the Boost for $400 but it's more for wakeboarding, wakesurfing, kiteboard, and watersking... I guess it would work in a yak has anyone had any dealings with this suit? My opinion is it wont hold up like the Gore-Tex but like everything else you get what you pat for right www.wakemakers.com/o-neill-boost-drysuit.html?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=display&utm_campaign=retargeting&utm_content=drysuits+wetsuitsI bought some neoprene last year and sold it, I cant wear that stuff

I wear breathable chest waders and a gortex rainjacket and pfd. Maybe one day a dry suit. some use waders and a dry top, that will likely be my next step, maybe next year

I saw some pretty good deals on drysuits on Sierra Trading Post back a couple months ago. I think they had Stohlquist and Bomber Gear for a reasonable price and it looked pretty comparable to the kokatat suits.

They had 3 or 4 different suits back in early fall when I looked. I like the warmth of my neoprene waders but they suck on a warm day. I think I'll be getting breathable waders and a dry top next year. I always keep a change of fleece clothes in the hatch in cold water also. Just in case I go in.

I have a pair of breathable chest waders and breathable waist waders. I love the waist waders, so much more comfortable. Plus I have a dry top. My dry top has Velcro on both sleeves, around the neck and at the bottom. Do you can tighten it up pretty tight so water can't get in. Never turtled in cold water but think if I did I would stay dry.

Well Greg, I think you need to venture down to the river, suit up and jump in. Let us know how you make out.
