Harry, thanks again for the great weekend of fishing. I been thinking bout what you were saying Monday afternoon. The spinnerbait wasn't running true on spinning gear but tracked upright on your baitcaster every time. The spin reel puts twist on the line which has to be transferred to the lure. the baitcaster imparts no twist effect on line or lure that I know of. You mentioned you knew some guys who tied the wires together on spinners with braid somehow offsetting this effect or perhaps it just keeps the two wires from getting out of line and untrue. I welcome input regarding the hypothesis and resultant lure behavior. thanks Guil

Sounds like a gear ratio issue to me ,the spinning reel probably pulls so fast the resulting water resistance is affecting the spinner blade differently than the jig body, twisting the lure ,slow the retrieve and see if that don't help ?

I didn't have a problem with the way they were tracking when it hit the water like it was suppose to... The problem I was having was the swivel sliding down to the spinner blades or the jig head on the cast,, happened with both bait casters and spinning reels,,,, some of your better spinner baits have a loop and this cant happen,, I think it was Rick or Wayne I was fishing with one day that told me about closing it up with brad line and super gluein the line so that the swivel stays were it belongs on the cast
