I would like to have as many members as we can get to show up for this meeting... We will be discussing the future use of this property and what I believe is very important for us to hang on to it... We will be meeting at the pavilion at 8:00 Saturday evening for discussion and a group photo so if you are able to attend that would be really great... Thank you all, Harry

I'm going down there to get measurements on the pavilion,,, then going to get estimates on the tin it would take for a new roof...
Was hoping we could have a club fishing tourney or a fall gathering to generate enough funds for the new roof,,, I feel pretty good about the member turn out for a work day to put it on just from talking to several of you about this already,,, Im sure it would go a long way with the owner,, she has been good to us and I would like to do this for her if possible..
I'll keep you updated and if you have any suggestions about how to get the founds feel free to chime in

Sorry I didn't make the meeting last night Harry, floated Balcony Falls area on the James River with a couple of co-workers and didn't get Home till 8pm. Hope all went well, let me know what you need from me Bud.

Harry ,dint know if knew this or not but iI'm a superintendent for a General contractor ,get an estimate on some metal and give me some dimensions I may be able to come up with something. We throw stuff away all the time, and especially if colors not an issue.ill see what I can do.

Kevin we are after a red roof here is what I got form Lion Metal Roofing
(4) 11 ft. (4) 8 ft. (4) 7 ft. (4) 4 ft pieces of 29 Gauge"AG" Panels... This was $1.89 LF (6) 10 ft Ridge Caps and 2 bags of screws...

? Is that a hip roof or is that 4 sheets on one side and 4 on the other with a lap. So 8 sheets per side ? Whats the actual size ridge to eave? and length of the ridge , (s.f.each side) is what i need,ill make some calls ive got a buddy at Baker roofing and one at Best supply co.

Kevin,, it is a hip x 4... I just went back down there,,, good thing to I messed up on a couple measurements have to add 10LF per side .. 5 sheet and a small cut per side.. the new total will be about $475.00 now
Starting at one corner measuring over 3 ft. and measuring straight up to the longest point and so on... The structure is 16' sq... the ridge is 13.5 x 4,, eave to ridge is 10.5, to 10.75 hard to tell with out getting up there with some help...
1st piece 4'
2nd '' 8'
3rd '' 11'
4th '' 9.5
5th '' 5.5
6th '' 1.5
I would add the last 2 together for 7' and cutting that last piece off of it..
the above measurements x 4,, + 6-10' ridge caps and the 2 bags of screws will do the job

I had a chat with the land owner today, she said that she has given it a lot of thought,, she said that she was 82 years old and tired of dealing with all the property she has to keep up with and didn't want us to put any money into something that we might not be able to use in a couple of years... she said that she is going to divide up the properties between her 4 children... Not knowing exactly who will end up with this property as of yet but it is going to happen.. If her son Leon ends up with it I know we will still have access I know him well he gives me permission to hunt the 400+ acres he looks after,,, she also has one daughter that I know really well also,,,, so their is a 50/50 chance that we will still have access a few times a year... Her other son and daughter I do not know at all. But until this happens she said we can still have our gatherings there
