I just ordered some new flukes and jrs. I've had moderate success in the past, but nowhere near the success that some people claim to have using them. I suppose, of course, it's like anything else. The more you use it, the more you'll catch with it.

I agree on the flukes. I think I have only caught one smallie on a fluke. I will have to try them more I guess. Too many anglers swear by them. It is very hard for me to switch to another lure if I'm doing good with sencos or tubes. I give it a fe casts and then just switch back. The same with jig and pigs. I have never had a hit on them.

I kill the bass in lakes on flukes. Pearl white is the only color you need.Small mouth in the river will eat them. You just have to throw them and get confidence in them. Most of the Time the bass hit them when you kill the bait and it starts to sink.,

I found some shad in my yard when the river got up. I took a picture on my phone and matched it at the bait shop. Can't wait to catch some fish on them. Think I found a good color

My go to for smallies in the New river when water is 65 degrees or warmer are Gitzit G-tails. Pearl white, Smoke, and green pumpkin.
