Well deer season is over and since I've found this site all I can think about is going fishing. I keep looking at the extended forecast and all I see is freezing weather. Well as soon as it gets back to the mid 40's and the wind calms a little I'm going to go down below big falls and paddle around, see what I can catch. I can almost always catch something down there, one of my favorite spots... When the weather warm up a little I sure could use a fishing partner to fish from Whitethorn up to around the corner toward Big Falls I have access to some private property there just past the island with the duck blind on it... I was told there used to be a ferry that went across the river from that property... Its a good mild float all the way I don't think we would have to worry about the cold water... Let me know if anyone's ready

Going to feel like a spring day compared to what its been like... Sunday 39 to 40 degrees partly sunny, perfect if the wind lays down... I haven't been on the water scene deer season opened

40 degrees will be a heat wave. Its 6 degrees and the wind is howling here in west by god.

I was hoping to get someone to float down stream with me. I have property about half way to big falls to exit on just down past Parrott but need to leave a pick up there...
I also cant go till after church

Heath said he was going early and wanted to fish radford. I will probably just go ahead and go to radford around 930 or 10 so I can go ahead and get out on the water.

Well my first trip on the river this year was awesome, thanks Phil... Caught a nice musky on my first cast of the new year. It doesn't get any better than that. Now I'm ready for my next adventure on the river, hum I wonder where that will be
I want to go fishing!!

No just 9,999. I think your guide had a lot to do with your catch! Do you remember him? He was the guy with his hand out waiting for his tip.

I don't know if I can afford another trip with you!  Since that last trip I have bought a musky rod, reel, and a bunch of expensive lures that some crazy guy on youtube said were gonna catch me a 70" musky. So you know I have to go and test all of this new gear out and Saturday is looking like the best day. I NEED MORE MUSKY STAT!! |
